Ian Powe
Ian Powe is a seasoned HR executive and consultant with over 15 years of experience spanning the corporate, nonprofit, education, and healthcare sectors. He has led strategic people operations, DEIB initiatives, and HRIS transformations at organizations nationwide. Through MiPocketHR, Ian brings that same expertise to startups, small businesses, and mission-driven teams in need of personalized HR support.
A Detroit native, Ian holds a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education from Eastern Michigan University and a Master of Science in Management, Strategy and Leadership from Michigan State University. He also holds his SHRM-SCP certification and is a proud member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.
Ian currently resides in Austin, Texas, and leads MiPocketHR with the belief that impactful HR doesn’t need to be out of reach—it just needs to fit.
